Back pain is the result of weak glutes, and exercise should create glute soreness. A good place for most novices to start is:
1) Rolling the glutes with a foam roller or lacrosse ball
2) Belly Breathing
3) Bridging
Exercise should not exasperate symptoms, and the back should feel better after exercise (and glutes sore)!
